Spring 2008 Info
Coach: Katie Dosch, 507-269-6201, kldosch@gmail.com
Please contact me with any questions or concerns. Also, if you are unable to make a practice, please let me know in advance exactly when you’ll be missing and why.
Practices
Pre-season: Wednesday 2/20 5:30-7:00 women’s indoor practice. Parents meeting afterward, 7:30 in the Wisconsin Neighborhood Center.
Before Spring Break: jogging M,W @ 3:45, followed by classroom instruction Mondays (room # to be determined) and fun activities Wednesdays (like sledding!). Dates: 2/25, 2/27, 3/3, 3/5, 3/10, 3/12. Spring break is 3/17-3/21, captains can arrange captain’s practice/scrimmages during the week if they’d like, there will not be formal practice.
After Spring Break: The last week of March we’ll have practices from 4-6 at Gardner Park, M-Th. Thursday will probably be shorter and mostly an informal scrimmage.
Rest of the Season: Starting April 1st, we will be playing in MUFA’s spring leagues. Practices will be Tuesday 4-6 and Thursday 4-5. Games will be Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00 (location will be either Stoner Prairie or Manchester Park).
Games
MUFA: We will be playing in both women’s leagues this year. When registration opens, you each need to register for the Women’s Advanced League (Mondays) and the Women’s Beginner League (Wednesdays). For the advanced league, you will be registering in pairs, and split amongst the different teams. This means you will be playing with other women in the Madison area, not as a high school team. It will be your responsibility to know when and where you play each Monday. For the Beginner’s league, we will play as a whole team (just like last year) and I’ll be there to help coach you. Games will be Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00pm at either Stoner Prairie or Manchester Park. For more information see www.mufa.org.
