Date: April 19 and 20, 2008
Location: James Madison Memorial High School in Madison, WI
Cost: $200. This includes:
- Games Saturday and Sunday, ending at 3:30 on Sunday.
- Trophies, champions T-Shirts; bagels, fruit and water on the fields; a professional trainer at the field all day Saturday and Sunday.
- Dinner Saturday night. We will try to provide some video entertainment and a trading table.
- Housing can be provided upon request. Housing is provided by the Memorial player's Families.
- Two showcase games featuring the UW-Madison's Bella Donna and Hodags (assuming they do not have sectionals or other obligations on the same weekend).
- We will also be selling tournament jerseys, T-shirts, Frisbees, and other merchandise.
- As with all outdoor sporting events, the MadisonMudBath can be canceled or altered due to weather. The tournament is held on the athletic fields used by all Memorial high school teams during the spring and cannot be permanently damaged. If this occurs we will be unable to provide refunds.
Who:
- This is one of the most competitive tournaments in the Midwest with teams traveling from all over to participate.
- We will be accepting 16 open and 8 women's teams.
- This is a tournament for high school teams only. Club teams and players who are not currently attending high school are not eligible.
- Participation is limited to one team per division for each high school.
- A school may place a second team in a division on the waiting list.
To be eligible here is what you must do:
- Send in the registration form with a check (See below).
- Fulfill Sanctioning requirements (See below).
Registration:
- Registration is done on a first come-first serve basis. This will be based upon when forms are received, not when they are post-marked.

- If you need to withdraw from the tournament after you have been given a spot you will only be given a refund if:
- Another team can take your teams place.
- And, the tournament director is notified of your withdrawal before April 1st.
UPA Santioning Requirements
- Please note: Your roster must be submitted and accepted by the UPA by April 1st or else your spot in the tournament will be given to the next team on the waiting list. Teams losing their spot in the tournament in this manner will not be reimbursed.
- This is a UPA Sanctioned event, thus teams must satisfy all of the following requirements:
- A UPA Event Roster submitted online.
- In order to submit your roster online:
1. login at UPA.org
2. choose "Online Rostering" on the UPA membership Home page
3. click on "Create Roster".
4. click on "Continue with Roster Creation" (if you have not created a team yet you will need to have all of your players names and UPA ID#s to continue)
5. Click on Sanctioned Event
6. Click on "2008S MADSION MUD BATH", about three quarters of the way down the list.
7. Agree to the guidelines/rules
8. Type in your team name, city and state.
9. If you already have created a roster, click on import roster. If you have not created a roster yet click on add players.
10. Follow the rest of the instructions.
According to the UPA each player must be a current member of the UPA. This means that saying that the forms have been mailed in is NOT acceptable - You must also:
- Have 2 Chaperons with Chaperon Forms (handed in at the Saturday Morning before the Captain's Meeting). Chaperons must stay at the fields.
- A Medical Authorization Form for each player. These forms are not handed in Saturday Morning, but instead should be kept with the team through out the tournament. These forms are Very, Very important in the case of a medical emergency. You will be asked to show these forms when handing in your Chaperon Forms.
- All sanctioning requirements must be met before a team will be allowed to participate in the tournament.
Rules:
- We assume that all teams at this event are here to play Ultimate. Any violation of the following rules by any member of a team will result in the entire team being dismissed from the tournament. Also, the team will not invited back at any future events hosted by Memorial High School.
- No drinking, drugs, smoking or profanity on or off the fields.
- No fighting.
- Respect the facilities.
- Chaperones must stay at the fields.
- We remind everyone that many teams are traveling a long distance and we expect players to adhere to the philosophy of spirit of the game, playing every game competitively with respect for your opponent.
- Rules for teams using housing provided by a Memorial Player:
- Teams that request housing must use the housing provided.
- Teams must obey any rules set by their host.
- Players cannot shower at their host's house, but must shower in the school's locker room.
- Players need to bring their own towels, shampoo, soap.
- Players must leave the locker room as clean as possible.
- The chaperone must stay with the team and is responsible for their behavior.
- Bear in mind that there may be young children in the home and act accordingly.
- The team is responsible for their own transportation for the entire weekend.
